Detailed activities at Petra

You will start the tour at Petra visitor center, passing through the marvelous Siq (Deep canyon between the mountains that goes for 1200 meters), at the end of the Siq you will see the Treasury or Al-Khazneh  (which is the most famous monument in Petra , Keep going through the street of Facade, passing the Roman theater and the Royal Tombs all the way to the old city center, passing through the colonnaded street, The Winged Lions tomb and the Great Temple complex till you reach Qasr Al-Bint (the Prince's palace) end of the main trail (you have walked 6 Km - 4 Miles so far ) you could continue all the way up to the Monastery (Al-Dir ) which is another 2 Km and 1000 stairs up , once you are done you need to go all the way back to the visitor center ( Don’t listen to any advise asking you to go out from other routes “Tourists traps” ) - by this way you have covered the two main trails at Petra out of 8 trails (You need for sure another one or two days to cover the remaining trails ).
